  1. 2 eggs
  2. 1 cup butter
  3. 3/4 cup granulated sugar 
  4. 1 1/4 cup brown sugar
  5. 2 tsp vanilla extract
  6. 3/4 teaspoon salt
  7. 1 teaspoon baking powder
  8. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  9. 2 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  10. 3 cups semi sweet chocolate chips

Preparation Method:

Place Butter in a bowl. Remember that the butter should not be refrigerated instead it should be at room temperature before you start. 

Add both sugars to the butter.Mix well till it is in the form of paste. You can also use an electric mixer, cream the butter and the sugars for about 3 minutes. Every once in a while, stop and scrape down the sides of the bowl. You’ll see that it becomes light in texture.

Beat the eggs and add them to the mixture. Now add the vanilla and mix again. You’ll see the mixture will become thicker.
Set the oven temperature. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Now in a separate bowl, mix the dry ingredients. Combine the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. Mix well. Now add 1/2 of the flour mixture to the batter. Mix it again until it becomes smooth and then add the rest of the flour. 

Finally, stir in the chocolate chips.  Take one tablespoon of batter, and with your hands, Shape/roll them into 2 inches wide small flat balls, similar to cookie shape. Place each cookie a few inches apart on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.

 Place them in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are light brown.
